Being vegan is a requirement of participation on Vegan-Exchange.
The following is a fictitious example of a profile that's been filled out to help you formulate ideas.
2 hours outside of Sydney, NSW
Description of Home Environment:
Single vegan activist living in quiet rural setting with a clean, sleep-out cabin and outdoor composting toilet for vegan traveler.
Description of Surrounding Terrain:
Rural, 2 hours from Sydney, country walks, a lake with bird life, rolling hills, 20 kilometers from nearest town.
Description of duties or jobs you would like help with:
Help me manifest a veganic garden, cleaning, painting, help with food preparation, babysitting, weeding, mowing, and carpentry. A traveling vegan massage therapist wouldn't be bad either!
How many guests can you accommodate simultaneously:
I have an extra bedroom in the house for 1-2 at a time. I have a spot for a tent, if you bring your own tent.
Anything else you would like to add that would attract international visitors:
I can introduce you to many other vegans in the area.
How did you learn about Vegan Exchange:
I saw it on Facebook - M. Butterflies Katz's profile. I saw it on Angel Flinn's Care2 blog.
Describe your veganism:
I've been vegan for 15 years. I'm an activist for animal rights. I think vegan living is an all around saner way to exist. I want to eat from my veganic garden more than I do. Purchases are veganic/organic - when possible. The usual food trip is: raw food and green drinks daily, along with a delicious cooked meal for dinner.
Do you have a vegan business or an involvement with any groups/organizations:
I help organize events, including the first one and only "WE'RE ALL GOING VEGAN" Parade held in Sydney. I am a vegan film-maker always looking for good subject matter to get on film. I'm a member of the Vegan Society of NSW.
